The supermajority is gaslighting Vermonters that we should be happy the school tax ONLY increased 13% and not 20% with the shell game of other taxes. These legislators refuse to look at the truth – we have a spending problem for schools, driven by special interests, not a funding problem. We need Legislators that will do the hard work of tackling the spending problem, not do another two year study on how to make the funding further obfuscated so nobody can explain the complexity of the tax calculations.
Vermont’s future depends on students that have core skills including reading, writing, arithmetic and critical thinking skills – not the indoctrination they are getting today. Elect legislators like myself willing to represent the people and transform education in Vermont so we have an affordable system that delivers results rather than today’s out of control spending without results.
